The 2022 Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) ornament is the seventeenth in a series of collectible Michigan State University themed ornaments.

A cornerstone of scientific advancement, FRIB is operated by Michigan State University as a user facility for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science (DOE-SC).

In spring 2022, FRIB commenced user operation, supporting the mission of the DOE-SC Office of Nuclear Physics to discover, explore, and understand all forms of nuclear matter. More than 1,600 scientific users are poised to conduct research at FRIB.

Using the world’s most powerful heavy-ion accelerator, scientists working at FRIB have the potential to make discoveries with broad applications to the world around us, from medicine to homeland security. Learn more at .
